QHT/Biasi has brought heating efficiency to a peak with their low mass multi-pass cast iron boilers. Now they continue their reputation with Riva—a low mass – high efficiency wall-mounted gas boiler. Biasi’s reputation, engineering and quality control can be seen in the new Riva Boiler.

The Biasi Riva wall hung gas boilers are elegant compact home heating and hot water solutions, suitable for almost any home. The same boilers that have been available in Europe for ten years are now available in North America. The Biasi Riva boilers are factory shipped with all primary system components installed and contained within the boiler, making installation of these units fast and simple. All Riva boilers are ASME and CSA certified to ensure the utmost safety and quality.

Simple Controls Save You More

To reduce fuel consumption, the RIVA Wall-Mounted Boiler operates ”on-demand”. It contains less than 2 quarts of water. RIVA’s heating output of 101 MBH can be adjusted to as low as 37 MBH to match your home’s heating requirements while maintaining full output for hot water production. When the Thermostat calls for heat a series of safety checks commence before the electronic ignition, (not a wasteful pilot flame) starts the main burner. During operation, the gas flow rate is constantly adjusted to the required temperature in the main boiler circuit to be within (1.5F) whether it’s the DHW Tank or Thermostat calling for heat. After each call for heat, the heat exchanger is purged of residual heat by the circulator resulting in no standby losses.

Technical Advantages
• ASME certified heat exchanger
• CSA certified
• Natural gas or Propane compatible
• Gas valve modulation in both cental
heating and domestic hot water modes
• All parts internalized
• Electronic spark ignition
• Direct Vent or Roof Vent
• Warranty: 2 years complete, 10 years Heat
Exchanger

Safety Features
• Frost protection system
• Self diagnostic control system
• Safety flow switch to prevent thermal
shock in the event of low/no water in the
heating system
• Internal high limit temperature control
• Blocked flue safety pressure switch
• Circulator protection if boiler is idle for 24 hours

Peace of Mind.

All RIVA Wall-Mounted Boilers are equipped with a Safety Flow Switch positioned in the main boiler circuit. This switch monitors flow and protects the main heat exchanger should the heat distribution system lose water. A Frost Protection Control is incorporated in the main boiler circuit. Should the main water temperature fall below 40F, the circulator runs to prevent freezing. To ensure the Boiler will remain operable after a 24 hour hiatus, the control system runs the motorized components for 1 minute per day there by giving you peace of mind during the summer months or if you are away from home. RIVA is equipped with a Self-Diagnostic Information System (LED’s) for maintenance and repair. It is readily accessible to the service technician.

So Easy to Install and Maintain

Within the white enameled casing of the RIVA are a perfectly matched piped and wired set of components including expansion tanks (Heat & DHW), circulator, vents, valves and controls which operate in complete silence. Minimal exposed external boiler piping or boiler components are required to install the boiler. And since the RIVA is wallmounted, access to major components is at chest level for ease of installation and service. RIVA does not need a chimney because the venting system can be installed through the side-wall of your house to collect outside air and to exhaust flue gas.
