To reduce fuel consumption, the RIVA Wall-Mounted Boiler operates ”on-demand”. It contains less than 2 quarts of water. RIVA’s heating output of 101 MBH can be adjusted to as low as 37 MBH to match your home’s heating requirements while maintaining full output for hot water production. When the Thermostat calls for heat a series of safety checks commence before the electronic ignition, (not a wasteful pilot flame) starts the main burner. During operation, the gas flow rate is constantly adjusted to the required temperature in the main boiler circuit to be within (1.5F) whether it’s the DHW Tank or Thermostat
calling for heat. After each call for heat, the heat exchanger is purged of residual heat by the circulator resulting in no standby losses.
